Galactic family

Star origins

Many teachers describe a “galactic family” of star systems that starseed souls are said to come from. Here is how each is most commonly described.

A note on these profiles: the primary framework for many of these star families is The Prism of Lyra by Lyssa Royal and Keith Priest. The trait descriptions are modern, popular descriptions shared across starseed communities. They aren’t the teaching of one authoritative source, and they aren’t scientific facts. Many people feel connected to more than one star family.

Pleiadian starseeds are commonly described as loving, empathic, intuitive and creative: sensitive souls who carry the warmth of the Divine Feminine and a mission of peace.

Commonly described traits

  • Deeply empathic and emotionally attuned
  • Drawn to art, music, beauty and nurturing roles
  • Bring comfort and softness wherever they go
  • Long for harmony and struggle with harshness

In the source texts: The best-known Pleiadian channeled text is Barbara Marciniak’s Bringers of the Dawn (1992), whose Pleiadians speak of the “Family of Light.” The Prism of Lyra has a chapter called “Earth’s Pleiadian Cousins.”

If this is you… Protect your softness. Spend time near water, keep a feelings journal, and practice noticing which emotions are truly yours.

Sirian starseeds are commonly described as guardians and peacekeepers. They are loyal, strong-willed and responsible keepers of ancient wisdom, often with a strong pull toward Egypt.

Commonly described traits

  • Protective, loyal and dependable
  • Fascinated by ancient Egypt, temples and mystery schools
  • Enjoy teaching, structure and technology
  • A deep reverence for knowledge and tradition

In the source texts: The Prism of Lyra devotes a chapter to “The Sirius Factor.” Teacher Jamye Price has shared that she “had offworld memories of being a Lyran and Sirian Starseed.”

If this is you… Study something ancient slowly. Let yourself rest, too: guardians need someone to guard them as well.

  • Calm, observant, sometimes a little detached
  • Naturally guide others toward their potential

In the source texts: The Prism of Lyra includes a chapter called “The Gateway of Arcturus.” Arcturian profiles in the wider community come mostly from modern teachers and channels.

If this is you… Bring your brilliance into your body. Sound baths, drawing geometry by hand and mindful movement can bridge mind and heart.

Commonly described traits

  • An old soul with a pioneering spirit
  • Courageous, creative and independent
  • Feline or lion imagery feels deeply familiar
  • Comfortable leading and starting new things

In the source texts: In The Prism of Lyra, Lyssa Royal and Keith Priest write that “All humanoid races in our galactic family have genetic roots connected to Lyra,” and describe Lyra as the entrance point of consciousness for Earth’s galactic family.

If this is you… Let yourself be helped. Even the bravest pioneer needs a campfire and a circle of friends.

Andromedan Starseeds · The Mission Keepers

On this site, Andromedan starseeds are described above all by their deep sense of duty. They are commonly described as devoted, responsible souls who arrived with a clear mission and quietly feel called to see their assignment through.

Commonly described traits

  • A strong sense of duty, responsibility and mission
  • Devoted to service, often the one others count on
  • Keep their commitments, even when it is hard
  • Feel called to complete the assignment they came here for

In the source texts: Andromedan descriptions vary across starseed communities and aren’t drawn from one canonical text. The duty-centered portrait here reflects this site’s own view, so hold it lightly and see what resonates.

If this is you… Let duty include you. Each evening, name one promise you kept for someone else and one you kept for yourself, and let both count.
